Smart Silicon Vacuum Bag arrives at Inholland Composites and is ready for implementation

The Smart Silicon Vacuum Bag has arrived from CT Platon making the SmartMould almost ready for the JEC in Paris. The silicone bag contains resin inlets, outlets, flexible runners and a sealant edge. The bag is produced on the original mould so the fit is perfect. The bag is still see through so the system is able to monitor the resin front flow using the light emitting mould. The bag will also be equipped with Twenco’s flexible sensors.

This bag will add to the versatility of the SmartMould allowing Inholland Composites to reduce the manual labour significantly during the production process of the Hydra1. This makes CT Platon’s moulding technology very attractive for series production up to 400 pieces. Interested how the SmartMould operates and what smart features it contains? Come and visit us at the Holland Pavillon at JEC2019 at Hall 5 stand E80.
