Today a visit took place to Hoora Watersport in Heeg. As a consortium partner with 40 years experience in boats for the watersport industry, they are continuing to look for innovative ways to produce more efficiently and provide more value to their customers. Recently they have introduced a solution for preventive maintenance on their fleet, allowing them track the boats, detect issues and send a maintenance engineer before the defect occurs. Abele de Jong explained a lot about how Hoora has constantly implemented inventive solutions such as electric drive trains which made them one of the first companies to introduce this on a large scale.
During the visit a lot was discussed related to the way they produce their polyester glass fibre Valk boats. Within the First Time Right project they are looking forward to learning more about how to infuse better and be able to produce at lower cost.
